Pryvit Ukrainian American Community!
In 2022, when Ukraine faced renewed invasion and its very existence was gravely threatened, the Ukrainian Center transformed into a vital community hub for humanitarian aid efforts.
We intensified our outreach to federal and state representatives, advocating for decisive action against the invaders and urging U.S. aid for Ukraine. Our community quickly mobilized a crisis response team to organize rallies, protests, and fundraising initiatives aimed at securing critical medical and refugee support. Additionally, we began offering refugee services, classes, and informational resources to newly arrived Ukrainians in the Twin Cities. Remarkably, we achieved all of this while maintaining our regular youth and cultural activities, preserving and advancing Ukrainian heritage, culture, and history.
